Program of Study
The Minor in Business Administration is designed to be supportive of a variety of arts, humanities, and science majors. All students interested in the minor should meet with an advisor in the College of Business Administration. To graduate with a Minor in Business Administration, students will be required to complete the requirements in effect at the time of declaration. The CoBA requires that at least 50 percent of the upper-division minor coursework be earned at Cal State San Marcos. The requirements are as follows:

- Students are considered “Pre-Business” status until they have completed the Pre-Business Core and are changed to “Business” status.
- The Pre-Business Core is a prerequisite for all upper-division CoBA courses and must be completed with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to qualify for Business Status. Business Status is required in order to register for upper-division business courses.
- The minimum grade for every Pre-Business Core course and upper-division CoBA course must be a “C” or higher or must be repeated.
- Pre-Business Core courses and upper-division CoBA courses may NOT be taken Credit/No Credit.
- Students must submit a Business Status Application to the CoBA Advising Office no later than one week prior to the first day of classes for any given semester.
- Business Status Application forms are available in the CoBA Advising Office and on the website at www.csusm.edu/cba.
