Carlsbad Desalination Plant – Poseidon Water
Tour the largest, most technically advanced and environmentally sound desalination plant in the nation. This unique opportunity will showcase the process of removing minerals from saline water, which will ultimately provide our cities with high-quality drinking water. Learn more about the agriculture production problems that we are currently facing and how the desalination plant is overcoming them in order to provide San Diego County a third of its daily water use.

Wine 101
Join wine professionals for a fun and interactive course that will enhance your overall appreciation of wine and teach you how to blind-taste like pros! Geri Bennett is a certified WSET Level III Wine and Spirit Expert and Ed Ashley is an experienced wine teacher and consultant. This course will break down perceptions of wine appreciation, teach you the fundamentals, provide suggestions for food pairing, and guide you through how to blind-taste both domestic and international wines (three white/three red varietals).
Different wines will be poured
at each class.
