Environmental Leadership Academy Certificate

Dedicated to providing visionary, spirited and thoughtful leadership toward a just and sustainable future.

Presented in Partnership with Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company and CR&R Environmental Services

The objective of the Environmental Leadership Academy Certificate is to heighten awareness and engage leaders in critical thinking around environmental issues affecting our quality of life, such as climate change, air and water quality, land-use change, endangered species, energy and waste.

Southern California leaders need a balanced knowledge of critical environmental issues that supports sound decision-making and best practices. Gaining the necessary tools will enable leaders to manage valuable resources through collaborative, workable solutions.

According to a report published by the Public Policy Institute of California in February 2015: “California has made progress on water management. But population growth and climate change are likely to intensify the challenges, and solutions will require difficult and sometimes costly tradeoffs.”

Population growth, water and climate change are among the many important issues examined in the Environmental Leadership Academy. Join our Fall 2016 program in the Inland Empire.

Learn to lead others in better understanding the complexities of serious environmental issues that touch on all areas of life. Upon completion, you will recognize the need for sensible and far-sighted policies to make the Southern California region a national model for balancing long-term sustainability with economic vitality and environmental stewardship.
