NURS 201 - Introduction to Nursing Practice Laboratory

Application of basic therapeutic nursing interventions in the clinical setting within the context of Orem’s Self-Care Theory. Includes clinical experiences in the ambulatory and/or acute or long-term health care settings, as well as simulated experiences in the Nursing Skills Laboratory. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of the Director of the School of Nursing. Nine hours of laboratory.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 160, BIOL 175, BIOL 176, CHEM 105, and CHEM 106, each with a minimum grade of C (2.0).
Corequisite(s): NURS 200 , NURS 210 , and NURS 211 .
