ECON 442 - Economics of DevelopmentUnits: 3 Examines the processes of economic, social, and institutional change in the developing world. Presents alternative definitions, theories, and strategies of development. The strengths and weaknesses of different approaches to economic development are identified and compared in the context of case studies (e.g., China, Brazil, Chile, North Korea, South Korea, and West Africa).
Prerequisite(s): ECON 201 and ECON 202 .
