ECON 318 - Game TheoryUnits: 3 Study of strategic multiplayer decision analysis. Introduces the components of modeling games (players, strategies, payoffs) and various classes of games, including static and dynamic games, as well as those of complete and incomplete information. Emphasis is on the use of game theory as a modeling tool in the social sciences. Covers solution concepts of Nash equilibrium, Dominance, and various refinements of Nash equilibrium concept such as Subgame Perfection, Bayesian equilibrium, and Perfect Bayesian equilibrium. Includes applications to Economics, Politics, Evolutionary Biology, and Philosophy. May not be taken for credit by students who have received credit for ECON 481 -3.
Prerequisite(s): ECON 201 and MATH 132 or MATH 160 .
