Units: 3In-depth examination of pre-Hispanic texts such as the Popol Vuh, Nahuatl poetry and other Aztec, Mayan, Quiché, Quechuan, and Incan religious, legal, and literary texts. Exploration of theories of oral literature. Study of cultural factors affecting literary manifestations in pre-Columbian societies.
