MUSC 340 - Advanced Vocal and Instrumental Instruction

Prepares advanced music majors for individual performance on a solo instrument or voice. Explores a variety of pedagogical approaches through individualized repertoire selection, etudes, exercise, and technique. Examines progress from individual practice. Integrates preparation for senior capstone for performance-based projects. Course expectations include performance in monthly performance forums and an end-of-semester performance jury for the full faculty.
May be repeated for a total of eight (8) units. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of instructor. Enrollment Requirement(s): At least one year of lower-division vocal and instrumental instruction (MUSC 240 ). By audition only.
