Program of Study
One of the greatest challenges facing the environment is disruption due to climate change and other anthropogenic effects. It is vital we take a cross-disciplinary approach to analyze and understand our environment, and create informed procedures and policies to combat environmental change. The purpose of the Environmental Biology Minor is to provide students in majors related to biology or students from other majors interested in environmental biology and ecology, the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in this important field. Students who complete this minor will be well prepared for graduate study, work in the private sector, or positions with government agencies or non-profits.
Requirements
The Environmental Biology Minor requires completion of eight (8) courses (26 units), with a minimum of eleven (11) of these units at the 300-500 level. Each course counted toward the minor must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or better. At least six (6) units should be unique to the minor.
Required Courses (20 Units)
Upper Division Electives (6 Units)
Minimum of 6 units. (Other courses with consent of BIOL faculty advisor.)
