DNCE 305 - Contact ImprovisationUnits: 03 Technical movement-based class on Contact Improvisation, the art of dancing with one or more partners while utilizing shifting points of contact, supporting weight, rolling, sliding, suspending, falling, recovering, and more. Practice in kinesthetic listening and responding to self, others, and environment through momentum and gravity, which develops technical, perceptual, and choreographic skills. Reading, writing, viewing, and discussion components contextualize the social, political, and historical aspects of Contact Improvisation technique. Student may receive a total of six (6) units for credit between DNCE 130-8 and DNCE 305.
Prerequisite(s): Any DNCE course at CSUSM.
