ECON 321 - Introduction to Spatial Analysis in EconomicsUnits: 3 Overview of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis applied to economic topics. Focus on geographic information, locational decision-making, spatial data, value of GIS strategies, and creating and managing a GIS project. Subject matter includes site suitability analysis, geocoding, network analysis, hot spot analysis, geoprocessing tools, and spatial statistics. Recommended Preparation: MATH 242 . May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: ECON 481-11.
Prerequisite(s): ECON 201 and ECON 202 .
