Practice of health assessment techniques and basic therapeutic communication skills in the Nursing Skills Laboratory and community settings. Includes practice in patient education and health promotion.
Three hours of laboratory.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 160, BIOL 175, BIOL 176, CHEM 105, and CHEM 105L, each with a minimum grade of C (2.0).
Corequisite(s): NURS 200 , NURS 201 , and NURS 210 .
