KINE 303 - Statistics and Research MethodsUnits: 3 Principles and techniques of construction, organization, administration, interpretation, and evaluation of health-related research. Includes an introduction to the scientific method, use of human subjects in research, norm and criterion-referenced reliability and validity, and quantitative research design. Use of SPSS and Excel to perform statistical tests including descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and inferential statistics through 2-way ANOVA. Interpretation and presentation of data will also be emphasized. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to Kinesiology majors who have completed the lower-division General Education requirement in Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning (B4).
Prerequisite(s):
BIOL 177 , BIOL 178 , KINE 202 , and either BIOL 104 or BIOL 160 .
