BIOL 386A - Terrestrial Ecology Lecture

Units: 3
A survey of terrestrial ecosystems and the biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) factors that affect ecosystem structure and function. Emphasis will be on the important mass (C, H2O nutrient) and energy (production and consumption) fluxes that flow into, out of, and through terrestrial ecosystems, and the plant-animal interactions that regulate the rates and magnitudes of these mass and energy flows.
May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: BIOL 386. Field trip(s) during or outside of class (including weekends) may be required.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 210  and BIOL 211 .
