WTRM 401 - Survey of Water Management Fundamentals and Practice in CaliforniaUnits: 2 Introduction to the water management industry in California. Covers key concepts and terms of water planning and efficient use of resource development. Covers subjects such as: the California water system and its demand for energy, differences between water resource administration versus management, sources of future supply, conjunctive use of surface and ground water, program assessment, integrated watershed planning, and policy making and implementation in a fragmented governmental system with multiple stakeholders and interest groups. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: MGMT 482 -4.
