PHYS 402 - Microcontroller Systems and Computer InterfacingUnits: 4 Introduces the design and use of digital computer interfaces, including serial, parallel, USB, and synchronous and asynchronous interfaces. The laboratory provides hands-on experience in computer interfacing through integrated circuits, sensors, and microcontrollers. Includes the operation, application, and use of different communication protocols for microcontrollers. Three hours of lecture. Three hours of laboratory. Cross-listed: PHYS 402 and EE 402 are cross-listed. Students may not receive credit for both.
Prerequisite(s): PHYS 301 or EE 301 with a minimum grade of C (2.0).
