Study of the instruments of the orchestra and their use in the orchestral repertoire. Covers instrument ranges, transposition, technical capabilities, and scoring of vocal ensembles, band, and orchestra instruments. Projects include arranging of piano and chamber pieces for orchestra. Enrollment Requirement(s): MUSC 202 or equivalent.
