DNCE 305 - Contact ImprovisationUnits: 03 Technical movement-based class on Contact Improvisation, the art of dancing with one or more partners while utilizing shifting points of contact, supporting weight, rolling, sliding, suspending, falling, recovering, and more. Practice in kinesthetic listening and responding to self, others, and environment through momentum and gravity, which develops technical, perceptual, and choreographic skills. Reading, writing, viewing, and discussion components contextualize the social, political, and historical aspects of Contact Improvisation technique. May be repeated for a total of six (6) units. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: DNCE 130-8.
Prerequisite(s): Any DNCE course at CSUSM.
