ECON 321 - Introduction to Spatial Analysis in EconomicsUnits: 3 Overview of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis applied to economic topics. Focus on geographic information, locational decision-making, spatial data, value of GIS strategies, and creating and managing a GIS project. Subject matter includes site suitability analysis, geocoding, network analysis, hot spot analysis, geoprocessing tools, and spatial statistics. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: ECON 481-11. Recommended Preparation: MATH 242 .
Prerequisite(s): ECON 201 and ECON 202 .
