MUSC 305 - Songwriting

Study of classic forms of songwriting, including Tin Pan Alley and the Blues. Conducted as workshop sessions in which works of students are examined and discussed in depth, then performed utilizing student ensembles. Analysis of important contemporary works, trends, and techniques. Utilizes current music software. Enrollment Requirement(s): MUSC 202 or equivalent.
