KINE 415 - Nutrition and Disordered Eating Behavior in Physical Activity and SportUnits: 3 Introduces the definition, health consequences, prevalence, risk factors, and management and treatment strategies of weight issues leading to clinical and subclinical disorders eating behaviors in sport. Discusses healthy weight management practices for athletes. Reviews current peer-reviewed research on topics related to athlete eating disorders, disordered eating, and the Female Athlete Triad. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to Kinesiology majors.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 104 , BIOL 177 , BIOL 178 , and KINE 202 .
