When, why, and how do ordinary citizens become activists and militants? Why and how do social movements succeed or fail? Presents theories of collective action and social change, and explores case studies of social movements and other social protests through the lenses of multiple disciplines. Case studies may be drawn from any region in the world. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students with Junior or Senior standing.
