CHAD 496 - Observation and Assessment Laboratory in Child and Adolescent DevelopmentUnits: 3 Advanced research methods course covering assessments used in research on infants, children, and adolescents, including observation, event- and time-sampling, and standardized tests of social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Course will culminate in a written research report on the student’s own empirical study. Students must successfully complete a background check, a tuberculosis test, and provide evidence of a history of full immunization against Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) and Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis/whooping cough), and provide proof of flu immunization (or an exemption). Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to CHAD majors, or by consent of instructor. Two hours of lecture. Three hours of laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): PSYC 100 , PSYC 220 , PSYC 230 , PSYC 331 , and PSYC 349 with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
