CS 201 - Introduction to Data Science for Social ScientistsUnits: 3 Introduces computer programming skills that social scientists can use to aid their understanding of the social world. Emphasizes data-driven questions and solutions for social problems. Uses programming libraries to work with tabular data, explore visualizations, apply machine learning algorithms, and perform statistical analyses. Enrollment Requirement(s): Completion of the lower-division General Education requirement in Mathematical Concepts/Quantitative Reasoning (GE Area 2 ).
Prerequisite(s): SOC 201 or equivalent with a minimum grade of C (2.0).
