CHEM 351 - Biochemistry IUnits: 4 Covers the thermodynamics of biological macromolecules and systems; energy and genetic information flow during replication, transcription, and translation; the structure and function of nucleic acids and proteins; and the kinetics, mechanisms, and regulation of enzymes. The first of a two-semester sequence designed to provide biochemistry majors and pre-health science majors comprehensive exposure to biochemical principles and concepts. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 202 and BIOL 211 with minimum grades of C (2.0).
