UNIV 200B - The Peer Coach Experience

Prepares UNIV Peer Coaches assigned to UNIV 100A, UNIV 200A, UNIV 300B, and UNIV 300C courses for mentorship and leadership within the UNIV Academic Recovery Program. Emphasizes the development and practice of transferable leadership skills. Explores such topics as group facilitation, mentoring and helping, on- and off-campus resource utilization and referral processes, leadership styles, classroom management strategies, and career development.
Recommended Preparation: UNIV 100A , UNIV 200A , UNIV 300B , or UNIV 300C with a B (3.0) or better, and acceptance into UNIV Peer Coaching Program. May be repeated for credit for up to three (3) units. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: UNIV 280-6. Grading Basis: Credit / No Credit. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of program director. Enrollment Requirement(s): Acceptance into UNIV Peer Coaching Program.
