PHYS 270 - Introduction to Computational PhysicsUnits: 3 Introduces the higher-level programming environment such as Matlab and/or Python to solve and visualize introductory physics problems. Reviews concepts such as the context of computational physics include vectors, practical applications of numerical differentiation and integration, and visualizing of fields and data. Includes hands-on computational physics projects in a lecture/activity format. Two hours of lecture. Two hours of activity.
Prerequisite(s): PHYS 201 , MATH 160 and CS 111
