Independent study deals with a special interest not covered in a regular course or with exploration in greater depth of a subject introduced in a regular course. Discussion in individual conferences. Note: This course cannot be substituted for other courses in the major without petition approval by the Literature and Writing Studies Curriculum Committee.
May be repeated once for a total of up to six 6 units of credit. Grading Basis: Graded Credit/No Credit. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of instructor.
