CE 411 - System-on-Chip DesignUnits: 3 Presents methods, tools, and techniques for system-level design and modeling of complete multi-processor Systems on Chip (SoC) from specification down to implementation across hardware-software boundaries. Includes the concepts, issues, and process of designing integrated SoCs following systematic hardware/software co-design and co-verification principles. Also covers exploring design trade-offs and parameter tuning to optimize performance. Block systems design is emphasized to promote sustainable hardware and software development within the system-level design.
Two hours lecture. Three hours laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): CE 310 , CS 331 .
