CS 310 - Social Issues and Professional Practices in ComputingUnits: 3 Examines the larger societal context of computing to develop an understanding of the relevant social, ethical, legal and professional issues. Covers social context, professional ethics, intellectual property, privacy, professional communication, safety, reliability, and sustainability. Exposes students to different areas within computer science while developing technology solutions to undesirable effects of computing technology and the internet. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to Computer Science majors.
