GEOG 432 - Quantitative Methods in Geography and Earth SciencesUnits: 3 Introduces quantitative and scientific programming skills needed to visualize and analyze typically large data sets, with a focus on geographical and Earth sciences applications. Focuses on the basics of scientific and technical computing, and the acquisition, processing, analysis, and mapping/visualization of data. Subjects covered include basic statistical, linear regression, and time series analyses. Recommended Preparation: GEOG 120 , GEOG 335 or CS 111 .
Prerequisite(s): MATH 242 with a minimum grade of C (2.0).
