ABA 608 - Assessment and Processes for Behavior Change in Applied Behavior Analysis

Units: 3
Introduction to a range of assessment strategies used to identify the function of problem behaviors. Various forms of direct and indirect behavioral assessments are identified and explained. Essential processes involved in changing behavior based on the main concepts of behavior analysis. Processes include shaping, chaining, extinction, differential reinforcement, punishment and the use of antecedent variables for developing new behavior and decreasing behavior with strategic reduction procedures. 
Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students in the Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate of Advanced Study: BCBA Track or BCaBA Track.

Prerequisite(s): ABA 607  with a minimum grade of C (2.0)
