Overview of the fundamental principles of remote sensing of Earth systems, including basics of imaging from aerial and satellite platforms. Reviews currently available remote sensing products and algorithms from various fields of Earth system science. Also emphasizes practical skills in acquiring, processing, and analyzing remote sensing data from passive and active sensors.
Recommended Preparation: Completion of GEOG 335  with a grade of C (2.0) or better.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 242  with a minimum grade of C (2.0) and GEOG 120  with a minimum grade of C (2.0).
