Units: 4Requires each student to conduct a project involving an actual HIM/HIT problem or the need of a sponsoring healthcare organization. The work shall be guided and evaluated by a mentor from the organization and a faculty adviser. Students are expected to spend a minimum of 100 hours on the practicum project, prepare a written report, and defend their work in an oral presentation. Teams of up to two students may work together on a specific study.
