BIOL 370B - Plant Physiology Lecture and LabUnits: 5 Examines the physiological processes that contribute to plant growth and development, including the underlying molecular and genetic mechanisms. Covers primary metabolism, water and nutrient relations, plant hormones, and plant biotechnology applications. The laboratory component provides hands-on experience with classical and molecular techniques utilized in modern plant physiology research, such as plant transformation, tissue culture, nucleic acid isolation, enzyme activity assays, and plant/pathogen challenge assays (specific subjects may vary by semester). Recommended Preparation: BIOL 351 . Three hours of lecture. Four hours of laboratory. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: BIOL 370.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 210 and BIOL 211
