Emphasizes spatial data collection, processing, analysis, and presentation using GIS software within the context of environmental and urban design. Introduces spatial variations and interactions of rural, suburban, and urban landscape. Examines land-use planning issues such as transportation, economic development, housing, open space preservation, environmental protection, urban design, and public finance.
