BIOL 420 - Ecological Monitoring

Units: 4
An overview of the various approaches used to assess ecological condition (status) and change over time (trend) for ecosystems, vegetation types, populations, and biological communities. Lectures that provide conceptual understanding will be combined with hands-on practical exercises in the lab, so that students will be prepared to apply their knowledge to real-world conservation problems. This course may be taught together with BIOL 620  by the same instructor. Three hours lecture

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 215  and BIOL 354 .
